Global Perspectives Office
The Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Global Perspectives at the University of Central Florida (Global Perspectives Office) and its affiliated programs are pleased to announce internship opportunities for Fall 2010.
The mission of the Global Perspectives Office is to sharpen UCF's international focus. The office helps advance UCF's goal of providing international emphasis to curricula and research. In addition, it works to expand the university's efforts to enlarge Central Florida's awareness and understanding of the interconnectedness of the global community.
The office sponsors or co-sponsors distinguished visitors, panels, conferences and symposia on a variety of global issues. Special areas of interest include Asia (with an emphasis on China, India and Japan); Diplomacy; Environment and Global Climate Change (with an emphasis on national/global security); Globalization; Human Rights (with an emphasis on human trafficking); Middle East (with an emphasis on conflict and conflict-resolution, as well as Kurdish Political Studies); Peace Studies; and Terrorism Studies. The office also conducts research on timely global topics, and publishes a monograph series and other scholarly publications.
Requirements: Junior/Senior undergraduate status or graduate status and minimum 3.0 GPA.
