The Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellows Program
The UCF Global Perspectives Office and The Global Connections Foundation are pleased to announce The Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellows Program at the University of Central Florida
The Global Perspectives Office at UCF and the Global Connections Foundation will provide an opportunity for an outstanding UCF student, undergraduate (at least junior level) or graduate, to serve as a Global Fellow for Fall 2008.
The selected student will work on a research project related to the broad area of globalization, under the direction of Global Perspectives Office staff and scholars, with the aim of producing a final paper that is worthy of publication. In addition, Global Fellows will work on projects for the Global Perspectives Office and affiliated programs.
The weekly time commitment is approximately ten hours. Participants will receive a $1,000.00 fellowship for the semester. Students aspiring to become Global Fellows should have a minimum GPA of 3.5. A board of reviewers drawn from several UCF colleges and programs will evaluate applications and make selections. The deadline for the submission of applications is July 31, 2008. Two letters of reference, a one-page personal statement, a 5-10 page writing sample, an unofficial transcript copy of school grades and a resume are required.
