Rebecca Wise
India Fellow
Rebecca Wise is the India Fellow for Spring 2012 under the auspices of The Anil and Chitra Deshpande India Program Endowed Fund, for the Global Perspectives Office. A junior at UCF, she is majoring in International and Global Studies, with a minor in French. She serves on the leadership council for the Reformed University Fellowship. Her research interests include human rights, human trafficking and Indian culture. Upon graduation, she plans serve as an aftercare worker with trafficked women in Asia, and eventually attend graduate school. A duel citizen of South Africa and Canada, Wise speaks conversational French, and has traveled to India, Africa and throughout Europe.
Senior Intern Lucien Charland
Lucian Charland is a senior intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A junior at UCF, he is double-majoring in International and Global Studies and Spanish, with a minor in Finance. He is a member of LEAD Scholars. His research interests include social media, social environmentalism, politics and history. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue graduate and law degrees. He is fluent in Spanish, has studied Latin and is currently studying Mandarin. Charland has traveled to Canada and Turkey, and throughout Europe and Latin America.
Jenna Allen
Intern
Jenna Allen is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A junior at UCF, she is majoring in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. Previously at Florida Atlantic University, she was a member of Student Government. Her research interests include global economics, national security, environmental sustainability and political theology. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue joint law and graduate degrees to prepare for a career in international affairs. Allen is currently studying Italian.
Andrea de la Camara
Intern
Andrea de la Camara is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A junior at UCF, she is majoring in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Spanish. She is currently a writer for Current International. Her research interests include Latin America and the Middle East. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a graduate degree in international relations. She is fluent in Spanish, proficient in French, and has traveled throughout Europe and South America.
Paul Graziano
Intern
Paul Graziano is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A junior at UCF, he is majoring in Political Science, International Relations-Comparative Politics track. His research interests include Middle Eastern politics and history, and counter-intelligence. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in international relations. Graziano is currently studying Arabic and has traveled throughout the Middle East, Europe, and to India, Nepal and Tanzania.
Intern Alya Kutik
Intern
Alya Kutik is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A junior at UCF, she is majoring in Political Science, International Relations-Comparative Politics track. She is a member of the Muslim Students Association and a volunteer with Honors Educational Outreach. Her research interests include human rights, peace studies, and Middle East politics. Upon graduation, Kutik plans to attend medical school. She is currently studying Arabic and Spanish.
Sebastian Sarria
Intern
Sebastian Sarria is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A junior at UCF, he is majoring in International Relations-Comparative Politics, with a minor in Latin American Studies. He currently serves as secretary of the UCF chapter of the United Nations Association. His research interests include sustainable development, human rights and globalization. Upon graduation, Sarria plans to pursue a graduate degree in global development. A native of Colombia, Sarria speaks fluent Spanish and is currently studying French.
