Antoinette Bazunu

Intern

Antoinette Bazunu is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Central Florida, pursuing an M.A. in English Language Arts Education.  Bazunu holds a B.S. with honors in Public Administration from UCF.  Her Honors in the Major Thesis focused on evaluating safety in District 7’s privatized child welfare services.  Bazunu is currently a mentor for Florida’s Take Stock in Children program.  Her research interests are human trafficking, education and poverty.  Upon completion of her M.A., Bazunu plans to pursue a doctorate degree in education.  She is a native of Nigeria.

Kathleen Coulter

Intern

Kathleen Coulter is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office.  She is currently a junior at the University of Central Florida, pursuing a double-major in Political Science - International Relations track - and Journalism - News Writing track - with a minor in French Language.   This coming summer, she plans to study at La Sorbonne in Paris.  Coulter is a member of LEAD Scholars and the Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity. Upon graduation, she is considering a graduate degree in either international law or intercultural communications.  Coulter, a native of Canada, has traveled throughout Canada, Europe and China.

Kaitlyn Crandall

Intern

Kaitlyn Crandall is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office.  She is currently a junior at the University of Central Florida, pursuing a double-major in Political Science - International Relations track - and History, with a minor in French Language through the Burnett Honors College.   Crandall is currently a member of LEAD Scholars  and the UCF French Club.  Her research interests include conflict resolution and military history.  Upon graduation, she plans to attend graduate school and eventually work in the U.S. Foreign Service.  Crandall has studied Latin, is conversational in French and has travelled throughout the United States and Canada.

David Emas

Intern

David Emas is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office.  He is currently a junior at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice.  Emas is the Co-Founder and Vice President of Sababa, a Jewish organization at UCF.  He also serves as the Scholarship Chair of Lambda Chi Alpha.  His research interests include globalization and economic growth of developing countries. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in law.  Emas has traveled to Israel, Turkey, Mexico, Jamaica and The Bahamas.

Jason Holman

Intern

Jason Holman is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is currently a junior at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Political Science - Pre-Law Track – with a minor in Business Administration.   His research interests include the Iraq War, Middle East conflict and constitutional law. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in law.  Holman has traveled to Mexico, Bahamas and Belize.

Danielle Markley

Intern

Danielle Markley an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is currently a senior at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Political Science - International Relations/Comparative Politics track.  Her research interests include Russian politics, Japanese politics, terrorism and Italian history.  Upon graduation, she plans to pursue graduate degrees in international relations and Russian language.  Markley is fluent in Spanish and conversational in French.  She has traveled throughout Italy.

David Magovern

Intern

David Magovern is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office.  He is currently a senior at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Political Science - International Relations Track.  McGovern is a member of Delta Epsilon Iota Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society.  His research interests include human trafficking, global energy and Japanese culture. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in international relations.  McGovern is studying Japanese and previously lived in Japan for three years.  He has travelled to Hong Kong, Brunei, Bali, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea and Canada.

Laura Stockbridge

Intern

Laura Stockbridge is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is currently a senior at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Business Economics - International track – with a minor in Mathematics.  Stockbridge currently serves as Director of Publications for the Burnett Honors College Economics Club.  She has also received the International Business Scholarship to study abroad for a year in Tilburg, Netherlands.  Her research interests include the economic growth of developing nations; specifically those formerly part of the Soviet Union.  Upon graduation, she plans to pursue graduate degrees in international economics and development economics.  Stockbridge speaks French and has traveled to France, Netherlands, Mexico and Canada.

Timothy Mason

Intern

Timothy Mason is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is currently a senior at the University of Central Florida, pursuing a double major in Political Science  - International Relations Track - and Radio Television - Broadcast Production Track - as well as a minor in emergency management and homeland security. His interests include the Iraq War, strategic arms and the Arab Israeli Conflict. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue graduate degrees in both law and international relations.

Maria Pecoraro

Intern

Maria Pecoraro is an intern in the Global Perspectives Office who works primarily as a research assistant for Ambassador Ulric Haynes, Jr. a Distinguished Visiting Scholar. She graduated summa cum laude in 2008 from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Political Science, specializing in American politics and policy. She currently is continuing her studies and plans to start a graduate program at UCF in Political Science/International Relations in 2009. Pecoraro is a member of the Order of Pegasus. She also serves as Director of Governmental Affairs for UCF's student government and is active in several other organizations. Her research interests include the study of democracy, political theory, American presidential and congressional politics, and constitutional law.  Pecoraro speaks Spanish and has traveled to Puerto Rico.
