Cassandra Long
Global Connections Scholar / Global Connections Fellow
Cassandra Long is a Global Connections Scholar for the Global Perspectives Office and the Global Connections Foundation. She was a Global Fellow, under the auspices of the Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellows Program at the University of Central Florida, for the Global Perspectives Office and the Diplomacy Program. She is currently an undergraduate working towards a Bachelor??s in International Relations and a minor in Asian Studies. Her research interests include national security issues as they relate to Asia, specifically China. She has just returned from a year of studying Mandarin as a National Security Education Program Scholar in Beijing. Cassandra is a native of Florida but attended high school in Taiwan. She has traveled extensively throughout Asia and Europe.
Evelyn Tonn
Global Fellow
Evelyn Tonn is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office and the Diplomacy Program. She was a Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellow in the Fall of 2006. She is a senior Political Science: International Relations Major in the Burnett Honors College. She is currently writing her Honors in the Major Thesis ??Globalization vs. Localization: A comparative global analysis of the attitudes of University Students? She was a recipient of the 2006 David L. Boren National Security Education Program Scholarship to study Arabic at the University of Jordan and has studied abroad at Cambridge University.
Stephanie Constantin
Global Fellow
Stephanie Constantin is a Global Fellow, under the auspices of the Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellows Program at the University of Central Florida, for the Global Perspective Office and the Diplomacy Program. Born in Leiden, the Netherlands, Stephanie Constantin was raised in Athens, Greece where she went to a French school. She moved to the States six years ago, and then came to the University of Central Florida where she is currently majoring in Economics. Stephanie was the recipient of the 2006 Anil Deshpande London School of Economics Award/Scholarship. After spending her summer volunteering, she aspires to work in some area related to international developmental economics.
Mark Freeman
Global Fellow
Mark Freeman is a Global Fellow, under the auspices of the Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellows Program at the University of Central Florida, for the Global Perspectives Office and the Diplomacy Program. He is currently working towards a Masters degree in Environmental Politics. Mark works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Political Science Department. His research interests are environmental politics, sustainability, conflict and security, and terrorism. He has recently co-authored a forthcoming article on environmental skepticism. Mark is a native of Florida and has traveled throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
Maria B. Bacellar
Global Fellow
Maria B. Bacellar is a Global Fellow, under the auspices of the Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellows Program at the University of Central Florida, for the Global Perspective Office and the Diplomacy Program. She is a senior in UCF's College of Business, with majors in Finance and Economics, and is a recipient of the Anil Deshpande Scholarship. Bacellar was born in Brazil, and has traveled in the Americas and Europe. She speaks Portuguese, Spanish and some Italian.
Megan Robinson
Global Fellow
Megan Robinson is a Global Fellow, under the auspices of the Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellows Program at the University of Central Florida, for the Global Perspective Office and the Diplomacy Program. She also serves as an Editorial Intern for The Latin Americanist. Robinson is a senior at UCF, majoring in History and minoring in Political Science. She has traveled in Europe and speaks Spanish.
Gabriela Othn
Global Fellow
Gabriela Othón is a Global Fellow under the auspices of the Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellows Program at UCF. She is currently pursuing a B.A. in Political Science - International Relations. Prior to this position,was an intern in the Global Perspectives office. She has also worked as manager in the retail sector for several years. Her research interests include environmental politics, sustainability, international relations, and human rights. She is a native of Panama, speaks Spanish and has traveled extensively in the Americas.
